Access to basic healthcare remains a serious challenge for many underprivileged, homeless, destitute, and financially weak individuals. Due to poverty and lack of awareness, they often ignore early symptoms of diseases, leading to severe health complications.
To address this critical issue, Parohitaishi Welfare Foundation plans to organize, Annual Free Health Check-Up Camps for destitute, homeless, elderly, and marginalized communities. These camps aim to provide essential medical examinations, guidance, and awareness to protect the health of vulnerable people.1. Project Objectives: To provide free medical check-ups to underprivileged and destitute individuals. To identify and diagnose common health issues at an early stage. To offer free medicines for basic ailments during the camp. To create health awareness on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. To support vulnerable groups who have no access to regular healthcare services. 2. Target Beneficiaries: Destitute and homeless individuals. Beggars living on streets or temporary shelters. Economically disadvantaged families. Elderly persons without family support. Physically or mentally challenged individuals. Major Activities: 1. Camp Planning & Setup: Selection of venue, dates, medical team, and volunteers. Coordination with doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. 2. Medical Services Provided: General health check-up. Blood pressure, blood sugar & basic diagnostic tests. Eye & dental screening (where possible). Distribution of free medicines for minor ailments. 3. Health Awareness Sessions: Importance of hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. Awareness on lifestyle-related diseases. Guidance on regular medical check-ups. 4. Record Keeping & Follow-Up: Maintaining medical records of each beneficiary. Referral support for serious medical issues. 5. Expected Outcomes: Improved health awareness among vulnerable communities. Early detection of diseases and reduced medical risks. Better access to medical support for homeless and poor individuals. Increased health security and quality of life.
