Animal Care
Thousands of stray and neglected street dogs struggle daily for food, clean water, and basic nutrition. Many suffer from hunger, malnutrition, weakness, and untreated wounds. Parohitaishi Welfare Foundation aims to address this urgent humanitarian and animal welfare concern by implementing a Street Dog Feeding & Nutrition Support Program.
This initiative focuses on providing regular meals, nutritional supplements, and essential care to street dogs living in rural and urban areas. The program promotes compassion, reduces animal suffering, and helps create a healthier environment for both animals and communities. 1. Project Objectives: To provide regular meals to hungry and neglected street dogs. To ensure adequate nutrition through supplements and balanced food. To reduce malnutrition, weakness, and disease among stray animals. To promote kindness and awareness about animal welfare in society. To create a safe and humane environment for street animals. 2. Target Beneficiaries: Stray dogs living on streets, marketplaces, villages, and neglected areas. Malnourished, sick, abandoned, or injured dogs. Mother dogs with puppies struggling for food. Major Activities: Identification of Feeding Zones: Mapping streets, colonies, and rural areas with high stray-dog presence. Daily/Regular Feeding: Distribution of cooked food (rice, chicken waste, vegetables), dry food, biscuits, etc. Providing clean drinking water at designated feeding points. Nutritional Care: Supplementing meals with vitamins, minerals, and protein sources. Special feeding for puppies, mother dogs, and weak dogs. Basic Welfare Support: Coordinating with local vets or NGOs for injured or sick animals. Promoting vaccination and sterilization awareness. Community Engagement: Encouraging people to feed animals responsibly. Building volunteer groups for regular feeding operations. Expected Outcomes: Reduction in hunger, suffering, and malnutrition among street dogs. Improved health, energy levels, and life expectancy of stray animals. Increased community participation in animal welfare activities. Healthier and safer neighborhoods through responsible feeding practices. Sustainability Plan: The Foundation plans to continue this feeding program throughout the year with the support of donors, volunteers, and animal lovers. Transparent reporting, fixed feeding routes, and planned budgeting will help expand the initiative to more areas over time. Collaboration with veterinary experts and local authorities will ensure long-term impact. Conclusion: Through the Street Dog Feeding & Nutrition Support Program, Parohitaishi Welfare Foundation is committed to protecting and caring for voiceless animals who depend on human compassion for survival. With collective support, we can ensure that no street dog remains hungry or neglected, and together build a kinder and more humane society.
